Mary Poppins and Blogging

I have sadly realized English 222 American Literature may not be as "easy" as English 223. The selections thus far have been complicated. The self discipline to get through the text has left me scrambling for the skills I know I possess: yet, I have had difficulty implementing. I felt so much relief when the mid-term blogging was announced. A glimmer of hope is what this meant to me. I love to blog. I have always enjoyed letting out the rambles my mind holds on a daily basis. I once was a person that transcribed my idea onto paper like most people converse with others. I have felt for years that my fingers have better ideas than my mouth could ever express. I'll thank Mrs. Terpstra (my typing teacher for the four years of tutelage during high school). I learned to type on one of those machines which actually prints as you press the keys--a typewriter. The old-school ways brought me to an even older-school love of mine: Mary Poppins. I love the story. I love the movie; hence, this remake/rendition of silliness.

Loud and long and clear
I love to blog
It's getting worse every year

The more I blog
The more I type with glee
and the more the glee
The more I'm a typier me

Some people tweet with their thumbs
Sounding something like this "click click click"
Some people post on their facebook pages
Whining and crying like babes

Some post too fast
Some merely share

Other's, they twitter like birds

Then there's the kind

What can't hash tag their mind

When things strike me as worthy
I can't hold it inside

and blog -as the bloggers do

I've got to let go with a blog blog blog 

and a ger ger ger too!

We love to blog

Loud and long and clean

We love to blog

So everybody can read

The more you blog

The more you fill with glee

and the more the glee

The more there's a typier me!

Yes folks, I just re-wrote a blogger rendition of the Mary Poppin's song "I Love to Laugh." Yes folks, I am aware of the nerd value of producing such a thing; however, I do not worry about such things.
