Reason Behind "i-e-r"

Folks you are looking at a creature of habit and no matter how much I love to fly by the seat of my pants I still find myself aching for familar things. Names for one is a major stable in my life. I have a cousin who was called Christie or Chris for 25 years then one day she gets huffy with me because she prefers to be called Christine. So what do I do? *giggles* I do not call her by her name; I just say, "Hey you." What does all this matter? I suppose it doesn't much but I am holding onto the Funny Farm from last semester; however, I needed to differentiate between last American Literature's blog and this American Literature's blog.
